With a love of the relaxed coastal lifestyle and a naturally impeccable style, it was really Jacinta’s travels around the globe that sparked a passion for all things unique, beautifully crafted and ethically made.
Upon her return to Australia, she studied a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design Futures (Interior Environments) and took a passionate stand against the consumer trend of buying cheaper, mass produced products which sacrificed true design qualities and compromised the incomes of the artisans and workers producing the items.
Knowing that there must be others who felt the same way, Jacinta launched the Salt Living online concept store in early 2014 and was completely overwhelmed by the positive response she received. This immediate success allowed her to open the very first bricks and mortar store in the new Strand at Coolangatta in 2015 which is now brimming with the highest quality, handmade and ethically produced products from Australia and around the world.
When the Coco Republic Design School hosted their Annual Awards Night for 2016 in partnership with Vogue Living, Jacinta was recognised as an emerging talent in the interior decoration industry and was the winning recipient of the Award of Excellence for 2016. This award sets the benchmark for expertise, creativity and vision in what is a highly competitive, highly progressive industry.
Jacinta continues to passionately explore areas of business and opportunity and is dedicated to bringing her clientele the very best handmade, natural and individual coastal furniture and homewares from local and international creatives.
