At Salt Living, we believe in doing things the long way. The careful way. The way that holds meaning.

Every sheet, pillowcase and duvet cover we create begins not with fabric, but with fibre. We start with 100% pure flax, grown under the sun and spun into strong, breathable yarns. From there, we begin the yarn-dyeing process. This means each individual strand is dyed before it’s woven, rather than after. It’s a slower, more considered approach that makes all the difference.

We source our flax from France, where generations of growers have perfected the art of cultivating strong, sustainable linen. From there, it travels across the seas before production even begins, making the journey from field to finished fabric much longer, but infinitely more special.

Vintage Character, Woven In

Because the colour is worked deep into the fibres, yarn-dyed linen offers a visual richness that other fabrics simply can’t replicate. There’s a subtle tonal variation in every weave. A lived-in, sun-faded character that reminds us of vintage shirts, antique grain sacks, and timeworn seaside cottages. These aren’t flat, mass-produced colours. They’re full of soul.

Our palette is exclusive to Salt Living. Inspired by coastal hues and softened by a gentle vintage wash, you’ll find shades like French Blue, Kelp Ticking Stripe, and Red Coral. Each one tells a quiet story of sea air, driftwood, sun-bleached homes, and treasured heirlooms.
