Our Seaside Collection

Seaside sits close to Coastal Living in spirit but pulls the volume down a little further, the same French Blue and White, but with our Sandstone Thin Stripe replacing a heavier farmhouse stripe, and nothing in the palette raised much above a whisper. It's the collection we hear about most from customers who want a coastal feeling without their bedroom reading as a beach house, closer to a quiet New England guest room or a cottage tucked into the Devon coastline.

The thin stripe is woven, not printed, which is a small distinction that matters more than it sounds. A printed stripe fades unevenly and can look tired within a year, while a woven one simply softens the way the rest of the linen does. Every piece is stonewashed before it reaches you and finished to the same 170 to 185gsm weight as our other collections, so despite the lighter palette, there's nothing lightweight about how it performs night to night.

Customers tell us the quality here always surprises them a little. A paler colourway can look delicate in photos, but arrives with the same substance and durability as our deeper tones, because we don't vary our weaving process by colour. This is also one of the easiest collections to layer into a room that already leans neutral, since the palette was designed from the start to sit quietly beside All Neutrals or Coastal Living rather than compete with either. And as with every Salt Living piece, it's OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and European Flax certified, made by a small team who'll happily talk you through which stripe suits your light if you're not sure.
