All Neutrals: Stylish Linen Bedding Collection

All Neutrals: Stylish Linen Bedding Collection

Every room needs somewhere for the eye to rest, and that's what this collection is for. Woven in the same fine French Flax Linen as the rest of our range, it's the palette our most design-minded customers reach for first, quality quiet enough to let everything else in the room breathe.

At Salt Living, we believe

Home is more than a place ~ it’s a feeling. A quiet moment at the end of each day.

Our mission is to help enhance those moments by offering beautifully crafted, premium bedding that brings comfort and a timeless, seaside aesthetic into your home. Inspired by nature and designed with heart by Jacinta, each collection is made from high quality materials in exclusive colours, and a deep care for how you feel in your space. We aim to empower the decorator in you, offering confidence, inspiration, and the kind of service that feels personal — like coming home.

How to Style

~ Use texture instead of pattern: Let the woven chambray effect do the visual work. A plain Sandstone duvet with a textured White pillowcase looks layered without introducing a single print.

~ Neutral doesn't mean matching: Combine two different tones, a Sandstone Thin Stripe pillowcase with a White or White Farmhouse Stripe reversible quilt, rather than one flat tone throughout. The slight contrast keeps the bed from reading as one block of colour.

~ The safest place to add colour: Because this palette recedes so easily, it's the best base for testing a bolder colour from another collection. Add one French Blue or Kelp cushion and let the neutrals hold the rest of the room steady.

~ Let texture carry the rest of the room: Sisal or timber flooring with a soft wool rug, an armchair in natural linen or a quiet check. This is the palette where texture, not colour, does the talking everywhere else too.

~ Let the pair do the finishing, not the colour: A pair of square or lumbar cushions in front of your sleeping pillows completes the bed without needing anything bold, a linen weave against a chambray is enough contrast on its own. For an even more pared back look, one long lumbar cushion across the bed does the same job alone.

Meet the Founder

Together with my parents, Carol and Steve, we opened Salt Living in early 2015 - and it’s been our greatest joy ever since.

My days are spent working on Salt Living or moving between home in Coffs Harbour and our Gold Coast warehouse. When not working I'll either be spending time with my son, frolicking in the sea, painting or deep in a Pinterest rabbit hole, absorbing all the beautiful tones, textures, and interiors that inspire me.

But one of my greatest joys is linen — and the quiet ritual of returning home to a bed layered with freshly laundered sheets and a fluffy, crisp duvet.

Thank you for being here.

with love, Jacinta

100% French Linen in Natural, Stripes and White.

Neutral is often mistaken for plain, but a good neutral is doing more work than almost any other colour in a room. It's the reason a bolder cushion elsewhere looks intentional rather than loud, and the reason a busy household still feels calm at the end of the day. There's a particular kind of luxury in that quiet, the sort that comes from genuinely good natural materials rather than decoration, and it's why we've never felt the need to make this collection anything other than restrained.

Because our solid colours, Sandstone especially, are woven into a subtle chambray effect rather than dyed flat, these neutrals have a quiet depth up close that a plain dyed sheet doesn't. The same tone runs into a thin stripe and a farmhouse stripe for anyone who wants a touch more definition, White and White Farmhouse Stripe sit alongside for something crisper, and an ochre gingham or stripe is kept in reserve for the one piece that wants a little warmth against all that quiet. Light catches the weave slightly differently across the surface, which is part of why photographs rarely do this collection full justice. It's also, unsurprisingly, the collection interior stylists and decorators return to most often, because a genuinely versatile neutral is harder to find than it sounds, and once they find one that mixes cleanly across an entire range, they don't need to keep searching.

Every piece carries the same certifications as the rest of our range, European Flax and OEKO-TEX Standard 100, tested and verified safe from the very first wash, and the same stonewashed softness that only improves the more it's used. Customers tell us this is often the collection that convinces them to keep buying from us: the quality is consistent, the colour is true to what they saw online, and when they've had a question about which shade of sandstone to choose, our small team has answered it personally rather than pointing them to an FAQ.

Restraint like this takes a certain confidence, choosing quiet over statement and knowing it's still the more considered decision. If a fully neutral room feels like a risk rather than a relief, that's precisely where I'm happy to guide you. I'm Jacinta Bishop of Salt Living, and I've helped enough bedrooms find this kind of calm to know exactly how it comes together.

Frequently Asked Questions

How versatile is Sandstone for styling?
It's the base most customers reach for first when they're undecided, pairing well with every other colour and collection we make.
What is a quilt, exactly, versus a duvet?
A quilt is a finished, ready-to-use product, similar to a blanket or a coverlet. It has 2 layers of 100% linen, with a layer with its own bambo fill in between. These three layers have been stiched together in a diamond pattern, no cover needed. Our duvet covers are used in combination with your own duvet or 'doona' insert which is placed inside, and then buttoned closed. Our quilts are sold as stand alone pieces, while our duvet covers come in a set with pillowcases.
What makes the quality noticeable in your sheets?
The strength of the fitted sheet elastic, generous depth and fabric thickness are the most repeated specific praise points from customers. Our customers love our top fold over design feature on our flat sheets.
What's it like dealing with Salt Living directly?
Warm and personal, our team genuinely cares about getting you the right fit, colour, answer or assistance. Our sweet customers mention this often, unprompted, and its something we've grown very proud of.
How do I care for my linen long term, to give it the longest life possible?
Machine wash gently in cool or warm water, line dry in shade, no bleach, softeners or harsh products. Avoid tumble dryer, but on a low-med temp is fine. Intended to soften and last, not wear thin.
