Size Guide
Salt Living — Bedding Size Guide
Australian Size Guide
All Salt Living products are made to Australian sizing standards. Find dimensions for every product below, measured in centimetres.
Pillowcases & Shams
Width × Length (finished pillowcase dimensions)
| Size | Width × Length |
|---|---|
| Standard | 48 × 73 cm |
| King | 50 × 90 cm |
| European | 65 × 65 cm |
Flat Sheets
Width × Length — includes generous overhang for tucking
| Size | Width × Length |
|---|---|
| Single | 195 × 260 cm |
| King Single | 200 × 270 cm |
| Double | 230 × 275 cm |
| Queen | 245 × 275 cm |
| King | 275 × 275 cm |
| Super King | 320 × 275 cm |
Fitted Sheets
Width × Length × Depth — all fitted sheets have a 40 cm pocket depth
| Size | Width × Length | Pocket Depth |
|---|---|---|
| Single | 90 × 190 cm | 40 cm |
| King Single | 107 × 203 cm | 40 cm |
| Double | 137 × 195 cm | 40 cm |
| Queen | 152 × 203 cm | 40 cm |
| King | 180 × 203 cm | 40 cm |
| Super King | 203 × 203 cm | 40 cm |
About pocket depth: Our 40 cm pocket depth is designed to fit mattresses up to approximately 35 cm deep, leaving a little extra to tuck securely underneath. If you have a mattress topper or an especially deep mattress, please measure before ordering.
Duvet Covers
Cover dimensions × included pillowcases
| Size | Cover (W × L) | Pillowcases included |
|---|---|---|
| Single | 140 × 210 cm | 1 × Standard (48 × 73 cm) |
| King Single | 160 × 210 cm | 1 × Standard (48 × 73 cm) |
| Double | 180 × 210 cm | 2 × Standard (48 × 73 cm) |
| Queen | 210 × 210 cm | 2 × Standard (48 × 73 cm) |
| King | 245 × 210 cm | 2 × Standard (48 × 73 cm) |
| Super King | 270 × 240 cm | 2 × Standard (48 × 73 cm) |
Which duvet insert do I need? Choose an insert that matches your duvet cover size, or go one size up for a fuller, more plush look — this is the European styling method and a popular choice.
Linen Quilts
Width × Length — finished quilt dimensions (not the mattress size)
| Size | Width × Length |
|---|---|
| Single | 150 × 220 cm |
| King Single | 170 × 230 cm |
| Double | 200 × 220 cm |
| Queen | 220 × 240 cm |
| King | 250 × 240 cm |
| Super King | 270 × 250 cm |
Quilts are generously sized. These are finished quilt dimensions, not mattress dimensions. Our quilts are cut to drape beautifully over the sides of the bed. If you love a luxurious overhang, consider sizing up.
Valances
Width × Length + Drop — the drop is the skirt that hangs over the side of the base
| Size | Platform (W × L) | Drop |
|---|---|---|
| Single | 90 × 190 cm | 35 cm |
| King Single | 107 × 203 cm | 35 cm |
| Double | 137 × 190 cm | 35 cm |
| Queen | 152 × 203 cm | 38 cm |
| King | 180 × 203 cm | 38 cm |
| Super King | 203 × 203 cm | 38 cm |
Choosing a valance: Match the platform size to your mattress size. The drop measurement is the length of the skirt from the top of the base to the floor — measure the height of your bed base before ordering to ensure the drop is right for your bed frame.
A few things to keep in mind
- All dimensions are finished product measurements in centimetres. Sizes are based on Australian standards.
- Natural linen relaxes slightly after the first wash. We recommend washing before use — dimensions may vary by up to 2–3 cm after washing.
- Fitted sheet dimensions refer to the mattress size the sheet is designed to fit. The 40 cm pocket depth suits most standard and pillow-top mattresses.
- Duvet cover dimensions are the finished cover size. For a snug fill, choose an insert that matches the cover. For an oversized look, size up one, but you must make sure to size up your insert as well.
- Quilt and flat sheet dimensions include generous overhang — these are not mattress dimensions.
- If you are between sizes or have a non-standard mattress depth, please get in touch — we're happy to help.

Meet Our Founder
Together with my parents, Carol and Steve Bishop, we opened Salt Living in early 2015 - and it’s been our greatest joy ever since.
When I’m not working on Salt Living's marketing/website/products or moving between my home in Coffs Harbour and our Coolangatta warehouse, you’ll usually find me in the sea, painting or deep in a coffee table book or Pinterest rabbit hole, absorbing all the beautiful tones, textures, and interiors that inspire me.
But one of my greatest joys is linen — and the quiet ritual of returning home to a bed layered with freshly laundered sheets and a fluffy, crisp duvet.
Thank you for being here.
with love, Jacinta
